Al Arabi on Sunday beat Lusail Club 3-2 to win the QFA Cup at Al Gharafa Stadium.
After being crowned the QFA Cup champions, Al Arabi team players and backroom staff held a banner in honour of former club hero Adel a-Mulla who passed away in London.
After the prize distribution ceremony, the champion side carried a large banner which said: “O Adel al-Mulla, you will always remain in our hearts.”

The final match yesterday was dominated by Al Arabi who started the title clash with two commanding goals through Aaron Salem Bubenza (3rd minute) and Abdul Aziz al-Ansari (13th minute). Despite the early onslaught from Al Arabi, Lusail reduced the deficit in the 41st minute through Mohamed Kinani from a penalty kick and Abdel Rahman Massad who found the net in the 49th minute.
Al Arabi responded with the third goal in the 79th minute through Abdullah Al-Muraisy.
The match was witnessed by a big crowd that had appeared to support Al Arabi, one of Qatar’s premier football clubs. Hani Ballan, CEO of Qatar Stars League Management, presented the trophy to the winning side besides handing over the medallions to players of both the sides.
