Indomie instant noodles are safe and fit for human consumption, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced.
In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said the results of laboratory analysis of samples of instant noodles from the Indomie brand, offered in the local market, showed their safety and suitability for human consumption.
The MoPH had collected the samples and referred them for analysis in its laboratories as a precautionary measure. This came after it was circulated that Indomie chicken- and vegetable-flavoured noodles with chili packs were unfit for consumption.
The MoPH has clarified that all imported food products traded in outlets in the local market are subject to verification of health requirements to ensure their safety and compliance with approved standards and specifications.
