Nearly 5,500 tonnes of waste and 1,700 old tyres have been removed over the past 10 days through an ongoing campaign launched by the General Cleanliness Department of the Ministry of Municipality in the Industrial Area. A total of 48 violations of the Public Hygiene Law No. 18 of 2017 were registered by the Doha Municipality inspectors and legal measures taken against them, a statement said. The ministry has urged the owners and operators of warehouses and garages to co-operate by removing their waste and not leaving vehicles and equipment outside their premises.
