On the occasion of the Global Recycling Day that falls on March 18, Al Rayyan Municipality in cooperation with Oryx Recycling Company and Carrefour organised an awareness event at Al Rayyan Public Park to raise peoples' awareness on the importance of waste recycling to limit the adverse harmful consequences on the environment and encourage people to adopt proper environmental practices for sustainable development. The event was attended by Jabir Hassan al-Jabir, director of Al Rayyan Municipality, and other senior municipality officials, in addition to representatives from both Carrefour and Oryx.
