Customs inspectors at the Hamad International Airport have foiled an attempt to smuggle a prohibited tobacco product, the General Authority of Customs (GAC) tweeted on Thursday.
A total of 33kg of the prohibited tobacco was found hidden inside a passenger’s bag.
The officials issued a seizure report and the confiscated items were handed over to the competent authorities for further action, the GAC added.
