The Syrian embassy recently organised a friendly football tournament on the occasion of National Sport Day with the participation of the embassies of Turkey, France and Yemen.
The tournament concluded with the crowning of the Yemeni embassy team as the champions after they won the final against the Turkish embassy. Chargé d’affaires of the Syrian embassy Dr Bilal Turkiye honoured the teams occupying the top three places, alongside the participation of Turkish ambassador Dr Mustafa Goksu and Yemeni ambassador Rajeh Hussein Badi.



The ambassadors and representatives of the communities expressed their thanks for the initiative by the Syrian embassy and for organising the sports tournament, which contributed to assembling the staff of the four participating embassies and urging them to engage in sporting activities in a friendly atmosphere.



Dr Turkiye thanked all the attendees and participants, led by the ambassadors of Turkey, France and Yemen, and expressed happiness at the hosting of the activity. He also thanked Qatar Sports Club and its entire management for providing all the facilities and services needed for the success of the tournament, as well as the participating teams, and stressed the importance of promoting participation in such events.
