Waseef, a leading real estate management and marketing company, took part in the National Sport Day celebrations by organising various programmes at Barwa Village, Masaken Mesaimeer and Al Sailiya Residences.
The programmes were held for residents and their family members while activities were also organised for employees at Al Bayt Stadium.
An official press statement said all the activities were held while following precautionary measures against Covid-19.
Waseef also launched its Padel stadium in Mesaimeer Residences in the presence of a number of officials of the Barwa Real Estate Group and Waseef Company.
The events witnessed the wide participation of employees, residents and their families and included a number of sports and recreational activities for families, children and women.
The activities began by providing some recreational activities. Participants performed warm-up exercises and walking. There were special exercises for women, in addition to recreational activities and mental competitions for adults and children. This year's event was also marked by the wide participation of employees, led by senior company officials, residents and their families.
Saleh bin Abdullah al-Sharafi, CEO of Al Waseef Company, stressed the importance of the message carried by National Sport Day and the values it calls for by spreading the culture of practising sports in an effort to build a healthy society capable of facing challenges.
“This year's Sport Day is exceptional with the start of the countdown to hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the company's employees' participation in National Sport Day, along with the residents of the projects it manages, reflects our keenness to enhance awareness of the practice of sports and encourage a healthy lifestyle among employees and their families,” he said.
