The General Authority of Customs (GAC) and the General Tax Authority (GAT) participated in the activities of the National Sport Day while organising various joint events. According to an official GAC press statement, the activities were held within the framework of their keenness to participate in all events that constitute an added value to society and leave a message spreading the positive spirit. The events were organised in line with the health directives by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
The event was attended by GAT president Ahmed bin Issa al-Mohannadi, Deputy Chairman of the Authority for Customs Affairs Mohammed Abdullah al-Maadeed, Ghanim bin Khalifa al-Attiyah, assistant president (Tax Affairs) at GAT and a number of directors. A women's event was also organised for GAT and GAT.
“The celebration comes as an embodiment of the vision of partnership with various institutions and official authorities in order to promote a culture of sports and health awareness, and to enhance its practice to become a lifestyle and daily behavior in society in a way that helps in building an integrated, capable person. This is in order to contribute to the process of development and construction, and to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, of which the human being is the most important pillar,” the statement noted.
