More than 500,000 people have been vaccinated at the Qatar Vaccination Centre for Business and Industry Sector in Bu Garn since its opening on January 9, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said.
The Bu Garn vaccination centre operates on an appointment-based system, with no walk-in appointments given.

The opening of the centre came within the framework of increasing the capacity of the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme. The centre administers Covid-19 vaccines to key business and industry workers. It allows the targeted and qualified group to obtain not only the booster Covid-19 vaccine dose but also the first and second doses for those who did not receive them earlier.
Covid-19 booster doses are being administered at all 28 Primary Health Care Corporation health centres as well as the Qatar Vaccination Centre for Business and Industry in Bu Garn and the Covid-19 drive-through facility in Lusail.
The MoPH yesterday reported that 783,801 Covid-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered in the country to date. Overall, - 5,783,563 vaccine doses have been given since the start of the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, with 86.9% of the total population fully vaccinated with two doses.
