HE the Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater met yesterday with the visiting UK Minister of State for United Nations and the Commonwealth and Prime Minister's Special Representative, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations, the latest developments in Afghanistan, and ways of co-operation between Qatari, British and Afghan non-governmental organisations, in addition to discussing the effective participation of Afghan women in society. Lord Ahmad expressed thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its efforts and pivotal role in facilitating the evacuation of British citizens and Afghan civilians from Afghanistan. UK ambassador to Qatar Jon Wilks and the Charge d'Affaires of the UK Mission to Afghanistan in Doha Martin Longden attended the meeting.
