Officials from Qatar and Turkey held a meeting in Doha to discuss investment opportunities for both countries, especially in Shanley Urfa, a city in southeastern Turkey, Qatar Chamber announced in a statement Saturday.
The chamber’s first vice chairman, Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari, held a discussion with Zine El Abidine Beyazgul, president of Turkey’s Shanley Urfa Province, at Qatar Chamber’s headquarters in Doha.
The meeting touched on the economic and commercial relations and ways to enhancing them, as well as the investment opportunities available in the Turkish province.
During the meeting, al-Kuwari welcomed the delegation’s visit and lauded the close relations between Qatar and Turkey “at all levels and in all fields.”
He also underscored the Qatar Chamber’s preparedness to promote the investment opportunities available in Shanley Urfa, especially in food and agriculture sectors, among Qatari businessmen and investors.
Beyazgul, for his part, reviewed the city’s religious and historic importance. He also invited Qatari investors to invest in the city and take advantage from the incentives offered to foreign investors.
