The Hamilton International School, part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), has announced two scholarship winners for the 2021-22 academic year, a statement said.
Fahmy in Grade 9 has been recognised with the Hamilton Principal’s Award and receives a 50% scholarship for this academic year. The yearly award is for current students who exhibit exceptional academic progress and positively contribute to the school community.
Faris in Grade 8 has been awarded the Ali Alfardan Scholarship for Excellence in Education and receives a 100% scholarship on tuition fees.
The Ali Alfardan Scholarship was open to all students in Qatar who demonstrated excellence in education with evidence of innovation.
“We are privileged to have Fahmy and Faris at The Hamilton International School. Over the last academic year, Fahmy’s achievements have made him a role model for our students. Faris’s application was shortlisted, as he excels academically and demonstrates a remarkable commitment to his community through different initiatives. They are both truly deserving of their scholarship,” said Terry Senior, principal of The Hamilton International School.
Ali Alfardan, vice chairman of Alfardan Group and chairman of Danat Qatar, met with the scholarship winners and said, “Congratulations to both winners. They are very deserving. The facilities, the students, the teachers, the principal and ISP - everybody is so great here. I am proud and happy to be associated with Hamilton.”
“At International Schools Partnership we feel it is important to celebrate student successes. The Hamilton Principal’s Award and the Ali Alfardan Scholarship for Excellence in Education further show our commitment to academic excellence and amazing learning. On behalf of everyone at ISP we congratulate Faris and Fahmy on their accomplishments.” said Bharat Mansukhani, regional managing director – Middle East, ISP.
ISP, a UK-based owner and operator of over 50 schools globally, also has Park House English School, one of Doha’s oldest and most respected schools. The Hamilton International School’s world-class facilities accompanied by its educational offering, and highly qualified teachers, are a testament to ISP’s high standard of education globally, the statement added.
