The Public Parks Department, in cooperation with Al-Khansa Primary School for Girls, organised an event to plant trees as part of the initiative to encourage students to plant in there schools. According to an official press statement by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), this came in line with the Arab Environment Day that falls on October 14.
The students participated in planting ornamental trees and shrubs in the school garden. The trees were distributed by the Public Parks Department to encourage them to plant as part of the initiative to plant one million trees. Also, seasonal flower trees were distributed to the students to plant in there homes.
