Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) in co-operation with Losail Circuit Club announced that Qatar will host the 7th and final round of the Gulf Radical Cup for cars.
The hosting of the event is another step by the QMMF as it strives to promote motorsports in Qatar and the gulf region.
The QMMF said the championship is important, and it’s considered as a regular event on their calendar.
Amro al-Hamad, CEO of QMMF said: “We are pleased to host the 7th round of the Gulf Radical Cup, as it will be a new and exciting challenge for drivers and all the participants. Hosting this event comes from the federation’s keenness to develop our motorsport racers and we welcome all the participants in this event.”
The first season of the Gulf Radical Cup started in 2006 and lasted for 15 years.
The last season was held in Qatar on 2014. And now, 2021/22 season will start on November 1 in Dubai Autodrome Circuit and end in Qatar at Losail Circuit Club, with the round scheduled from March 24-26, 2022. What distinguishes this season from other seasons is that it will include 21 races instead of 14 races. 7 rounds, each contains 3 races.
Drivers will have the option to take part in a 3 hours private Gulf Radical Cup test on the Thursday, followed by 30 minute free practice on the Friday morning.
Friday will then see the Sprint Race qualifying session and two Sprint Races: a busy day! Saturday features a qualifying session and the 45 minute Enduro Race.
The season officially kicks off on the November 1 with a preseason test at the Dubai Autodrome, followed by the first rounds of the championship just 2 weeks later.

1st round: Dubai Autodrome, November 11 – 13
2nd round: Dubai Autodrome, December 2-4
3rd round: Yas Marina Circuit, January 20-22
4th round: Dubai Autodrome, February 3-5
5th round: Yas Marina Circuit, February 24-26
6th round: Dubai Autodrome, March 10-12
7th round: Qatar Losail Circuit, March 24-26
The final round of Gulf Radical Cup will be held from March 24-26, 2022 at Losail International Circuit.
