MES Indian School recently observed Father’s Day with students paying tribute to their fathers. A special programme was conducted through Zoom wherein students gave speeches glorifying the significant roles played by fathers in building a healthy family and how they were instrumental in influencing their family members.
On the occasion, Principal Hameeda Kadar reflected on wisdom, guidance and sacrifices of fathers in bringing up their families. She also urged the students to be always grateful to their fathers.
To mark the occasion, various competitions were organised for the students. The tiny tots of KG-I had badge-making activity using paper plates. The KG –II students were asked to make Father’s Day greeting cards. Kids of the Junior Wing were asked to send pictures on the theme ‘Like Father, Like Child’. Students sang songs, presented poems and expressed feelings about their fathers. The students of Classes I to VI made greeting cards, Class-VII made paintings on the theme ‘My Father - My Hero’ and Class-VII delivered on the subject.
School officials and teachers were among those present on the occasion. There was also a cake-cutting ceremony that was attended by all the male teachers and administrative staff of the school. Teachers in-charge of the programme were; Namita Pradeep, Sreejith K N, Vijayasharmila, Shiny Suresh, Fency Pathrose, Rajani Pillai, Neema Ummukulsu and Reneesa Andipattil.
