Qatar Charity (QC) has signed a co-operation agreement with Ajyal Educational Centre, paving the way for co-operation between the two parties by organising various activities, events and programmes to develop children's talents.
The agreement aims to promote and advance charitable, educational and voluntary work in all its aspects and to strengthen the bonds of co-operation and partnership between the two parties to achieve their common goals, QC has said in a statement.
This agreement was signed by Faisal bin Rashid al-Fahida, assistant CEO of the Programmes and Community Development Sector at Qatar Charity, and Faisal bin Mubarak al-Qahtani, director-general of Ajyal Educational Centre.
Al-Fahida said the agreement comes within the framework of the priority that QC gives to programmes and projects that serve the local community, across various categories and sectors, especially the youth, to contribute to the formation of a generation capable of contributing to building the future and advancing the wheel of development forward.
He thanked Ajyal Educational Centre for its permanent support to humanitarian work and capacity development, expressing Qatar Charity's readiness to co-operate with all partners in the service of society and deal with its issues and concerns to achieve the desired goals.
Al-Qahtani expressed happiness with the agreement and partnership with QC, praising the humanitarian and social role it plays through its cultural and educational activities, purposeful programmes and fruitful projects within Qatar or outside.
He noted that this agreement between Qatar Charity and Ajyal Educational Centre is concerned with the youth, who are the hope of tomorrow and the future leaders, and also supports rehabilitation and training, which is a fundamental pillar in the field of human development.
QC had earlier signed many co-operation agreements and sponsorship of educational programmes and voluntary initiatives with educational centres and youth and voluntary bodies to serve the community and encourage volunteer work among Qatari youth.
