Qatar Chamber has participated in the 37th session of the Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) general assembly, which was held recently through video conference. The chamber’s delegation was led by its chairman, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani, and included board members Dr Mohamed Jawhar al-Mohamed and Abdulrahman bin Abduljaleel al-Abdulghani. The meeting’s agenda was highlighted by the election of 19 members of the board of directors for the 2021-2025 session, including Qatar Chamber. Addressing the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa announced the hosting of the next ICCIA meeting in Qatar. The meeting also touched on the appointment of an auditor and approval of new members to join the Islamic Chamber, namely the Irish Islamic Chamber of Commerce (IICC) – Ireland, the Arab Chamber of Commerce in West Africa – Ghana, and the Minara Chamber of Commerce – South Africa.
