Pakistan International School, Qatar (PISQ) organised a virtual Holy Qur’an recitation competition and Ramadan quiz. A total of 45 students from Grade V to VII took part in the Qur’an recitation competition and 15 from Grade VII to IX in the Ramadan quiz.
Muhammad Anwar, Dr Muhammad Umar Khan and Hafiz Muhammad Ali adjudicated the recitation competition. Ahsan Rasheed, Khaista Rehman and Muhammad Tajamul were the judges for the quiz.
In the recitation contest among Grade V students, Nayef Khalid, Aser Sagy and Muhammad Ibrahim bagged first, second and third positions respectively. In Grade VI, Yahia Abd El Rahman Wahab, Yahya Muhammad Razi and Ismaeil Tallat notched the first three positions respectively. In Grade VII, the first three positions went to Saad Ahmed, Ahmed Osman Ibrahim Fadlalla and Abdul Rehman Suleman respectively.
In the Ramadan quiz, the first position was shared by Muhammad Emad, Anas Faisal, Hassan Afzal and Abdul Hanan. The second position was shared by three contestants – Abyan Ali Shah, Abdul Rafay Noor and Ahmed Tariq. The third place was taken away by Abdullah Habib and Muhammad Shehzad.
Nargis Raza Otho, PISQ principal, applauded the efforts of the organising committee, headed by vice principal Raja Nasir Mahmood. The contributions of Waheed Iqbal, Hafiz Muhammad Ali, and Anwar Shah were also appreciated. The principal congratulated all the winners.
