The Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department in Al Sheehaniya Municipality conducted 740 inspection rounds on food establishments within its administrative borders in April. A number of notices were issued against violations. The department also received a number of complaints, which were promptly addressed.
The inspectors checked 5,260 livestock carcasses in private slaughterhouses and 19 of them were completely and about 141kg partially destroyed as they were found not suitable for human consumption.
