The designated authorities referred 369 people to the Public Prosecution for violating the preventive and precautionary measures enforced in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19, the Ministry of Interior reported Wednesday.
Among them, 234 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks in places where these are mandatory, while five people were found violating the vehicle occupancy rule. Under this rule, a maximum of four persons are allowed in a vehicle, including the driver, except when they are members of the same family.
Also, 123 people were referred to the prosecution for not maintaining a safe physical distance, and seven others for not installing the Ehteraz app on their mobile phone.
The measure is in line with the Cabinet decision, Decree Law No 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures in force in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19. The designated authorities have called on the public to adhere to the precautionary measures in place to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
