The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has released its monthly report on special licences issued in January.
The report said 112 licences were issued for discounted prices (discounts), according to a press statement by the ministry.
The report also indicated that 401 licences for offers were issued in January. These included licences for special offers, promotional offers, prize draws and Swipe and Win.
Some 65 promotional offer licences were granted for companies selling goods in malls and retail outlets, while 324 licences were granted for special offers, including new prices, buy one, get one free, and buy one and get the second one for half the price, the statement noted.
The report also said 11 licences were granted for prize draws in January, in addition to one Swipe and Win licence.
