Mohamed Saeed Haidan won both the Medium Tour and Small Tour classes during the ninth round of the Longines Qatar Equestrian Tour Hathab supported by The Social & Sport Contribution Fund.
At the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s outdoor arena yesterday, Haidan, astride 12-year-old mare Miss Chili, topped the 135cm Medium Tour class in a time of 53.02 seconds.
Cyrine Cherif combined with nine-year-old stallion Brennus Villelongue to finish second in 55.35 secs, while Mohamed Khalifa Albaker took third spot with Verona in 55.45 secs.
Earlier, Haidan had won the Small Tour in a tight finish. The seasoned rider finished the 115cm class on Quick Step in a time of 30.52 secs. Mohamed Jabor al-Naimi took the runner-up place on Naville just 0.13 seconds behind Haidan, while Mohamed Nasser al-Qadi was mere 0.2 seconds adrift in third place with Vlacido.
