The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) should study the possibility of allowing the owners of livestock barns to build a structure with bricks to store their equipment and possessions, the Central Municipal Council (CMC) recommended.
At the last bi-weekly regular session, the council also suggested that the MME should review the possibility of allowing the owners and property right holders of these barns to transfer their right to others, and tighten its control and monitoring of efforts to ensure they are used for the intended purposes to maximise the benefits. The council discussed several municipal services and made relevant suggestions to the entities concerned to improve and upgrade. Accordingly, the council reviewed the report of its services and utilities committee on the health regulations that should be adopted for the household workers recruited from abroad. Also reviewed was a report on the regulations to be observed when slaughtering female sheep and goats. Also discussed was the need to amend subsidies of livestock fodder to support the sector.
