Salman Mohamed al-Emadi led veteran gelding Zorro Z to Medium Tour victory during the sixth round of the Longines Qatar Equestrian Tour Hathab supported by The Social & Sport Contribution Fund yesterday.
At Qatar Equestrian Federation’s Indoor Arena, al-Emadi was in fine form with 19-year-old Zorro Z as the pair completed their jump-off in 34.07 seconds, which gave the seasoned rider QR7,500 in prize money.
Rashid Towaim al-Marri finished second with Lamm Addiction Z stopping the clock in 34.98 secs, ahead of Saeed Nasser al-Qadi and Electra B, who timed 36.26.
The Medium Tour team event was clinched by Business Trading Company, with Lusail Team coming second and ExxonMobil finishing third. 
In the Small Tour, Saeed Nasser al-Qadi had won the title with Best of Des Forets. The pair combined to register a quick 20.01-second in jump-off. Hamad Nasser al-Qadi astride Gibria-B was second, while Khalid Mohamed al-Emadi finished third with Bleu Boy, 20.22.
Meanwhile, Omar al-Mannai, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the fourth edition of the Longines Championship so far despite the challenges faced due to pandemic. 
Al-Mannai praised the riders, who he said have shown enthusiasm and determination from the start of the fourth season. “Everyone knows the difficult conditions that the championship was subjected due to the coronavirus. But the organising committee with the responsible authorities in the country and in addition to the riders proved that the competition can be held. We are pleased with record numbers of competitors we have achieved despite all the hurdles. We have taken all the precautionary measures, which everyone have adhered to,” he said.
