Al Aamriya sulphur well, located in the Ain al-Harjah area, has the potential to be developed into a thermal resort if the water is found to be therapeutically beneficial, a number of Qataris suggested to local Arabic daily Arrayah.
Muhammad al-Marri told Arrayah that the sulphur well in Al Aamriya area have proven successful in treating allergic skin diseases for many individuals who bathed in the water.
Earlier, the well used to witness crowds of citizens and residents, recalled the citizen who called for rehabilitating the site, providing a paved road to reach it, as well as setting up a tourism project to attract tourists from home and abroad.
Hamad al-Marri, another citizen, confirmed that he took a shower with water from the sulphur well, after advice from a doctor to treat an allergic skin disease. He stressed that it is the only well in the country that contains sulphur water. 
Another citizen, Mohamed al-Khayarin urged the competent authorities to promote the sulphur well of Al Aamriya through social media after confirming its healing properties.
The well is located in the Ain al-Harjah area on Sudanthil Road, 22km from the entrance to Al Aamriya area and 6km from the offices of the South Reserve. The access is via Al Aamriya Bridge on Abu Samra Road.
