Qatar University’s College of Engineering (QU-CENG) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ariane Real Estate to establish collaboration in the field of research, consultancy and knowledge transfer.
The MoU was signed by QU-CENG dean Dr Khalid Kamal Naji and Ariane Real Estate CEO Mohamed Hussein al-Ali, in the presence of officials from both institutions.
The objective is to establish collaboration between QU and Ariane in the academic, research and student training and support field, as well as the exchange of information and consultancy.
QU-CENG will provide Ariane with consultancy and workshops covering different areas. CENG faculty will also support Ariane’s projects by ensuring knowledge transfer and progressive development of existing projects. “The MoU highlights QU-CENG’s continuous efforts to provide solutions to local challenges, in line with national priorities towards a knowledge-based economy,” Dr Naji said.
“It will also serve to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and provide consultancy and research services, which will contribute to driving socio-economic development and sustainability in Qatar,” he explained.
Ariane Real Estate CEO al-Ali said, “We are proud to sign a memorandum of understanding with the College of Engineering at Qatar University in order to complement the efforts made by the education and industry sectors to support Qatar National Vision 2030, and prepare future engineers, which comes as a part of the integration between the academic and industrial sectors.”
“Our long-term partnership will be reflected on both parties through joint activities and programs, support for students and graduates, and we will endeavor to support education and capacity building through social responsibility programmes,” he added.
