The Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (Qicca) at Qatar Chamber will hold a webinar on Tuesday, May 12, under the theme ‘Digital Transformation in the light of Covid-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Solutions’.
Held in co-operation with Qatar University, the seminar will be moderated by Qicca board member for International Relations Sheikh Dr Thani bin Ali al-Thani. The seminar discusses many topics, including the digital transformation in the civil, commercial, and criminal articles.
Sheikh Thani said the precautionary measures taken by world countries had led to more dependence on modern technology and advanced technologies, noting that “most aspects of life have adapted to means of digitisation, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence.
“The recent global health crisis of Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the process of digital transformation and remote management of things in all areas, including the field of law,” he stressed.
Sheikh Thani also said Qicca continues to hold webinars that see the participation of many legal experts to review the current legal circumstances, as well as to address all means, alternatives, and technological solutions in the field of law to face the crisis and ensure the functioning of courts under the social distancing measures.
