Ooredoo has been recognised with several awards at the 2019 Stevie International Business Awards (IBAs). The Stevie Awards are held annually to recognise and honour the achievements and positive contributions of organisations worldwide. 
Ooredoo won a total of 14 awards, including the prestigious Company of the Year award in the Telecommunications – Large category. Ooredoo was also awarded a Grand Stevie award for being among the top 10 winners across all other organisations honoured in the 2019 IBAs. 
As well as the Company of the Year award, Ooredoo won another five gold awards. Ooredoo Qatar’s 5G was recognised as Technical Innovation of the Year in the Telecommunications – Large category, as well as winning gold in the Telecommunications – Service category. 
Ooredoo Qatar won Most Innovative Company of the Year in the More Than 2,500 Employees category, while Ooredoo Group won Marketing Campaign of the Year – Internet/Telecom for the Messi campaign, and Ooredoo Maldives Digital Resorts Solution won gold in the Travel category.  Ooredoo also received three silver awards: Ooredoo Group at Mobile World Congress 2019 won the award in the Brand & Experiences – Exhibition Experience category, and in the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand; Ooredoo Myanmar won for its ‘The more you speak, the more Ooredoo will donate’ project; and Ooredoo Maldives won for its Smart City Project and NIRU Accelerator Programme. Four nominations also received bronze awards – the Ooredoo Oman Business App won in the Business/Government category; Ooredoo Algeria Haya Music won in the Music category; Ooredoo Myanmar was recognised as Most Innovative Company of the Year – Up to 2,500 Employees; and Asiacell received the award for Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year – Middle East and Africa.  Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani, Group CEO, Ooredoo, said: “We are immensely proud to receive this prestigious international recognition of our efforts, and particularly proud that this year, we received a record number of gold awards, including perhaps one of the most significant awards of the programme – Company of the Year.

Earlier this year, Ooredoo Group’s transformation into a digital enabler across its global footprint was recognised at the 5G World Awards.  Ooredoo Group was honoured with the ‘Best Telco Digital Transformation Project’ award at the 2019 edition of the awards in London which showcase innovation in the telco industry. Across Ooredoo’s global footprint, digital transformation efforts also received recognition.
