HSBC Qatar has appointed Shamsa al-Fahd as new head of its human resources in Qatar. 
Shamsa has more than 13 years of Human Resources experience in Qatar working for multinational and local companies across various industries in Qatar. She has valuable experience having previously worked for banking, oil & gas and media companies. 
Her expertise in human resources covers recruitment, employee relations, performance management and nationalisation. 
Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi, CEO, HSBC in Qatar said, “Shamsa will play an important role as a senior leader in the executive team to build on diversifying the workforce and driving Qatari nationalistion in the bank. With her exceptional experience in the development of human capital, she is a very valuable member of the senior management team in the country.”
Shamsa started her career in human resources in the oil and gas sector where she became a human resources business partner and worked for three years. Her next position as human resources deputy director was in Gulf Bridge International from where she moved into media and marketing as the Human Resources Unit head at Al Rayyan for Media & Marketing Company for the last four years.
