The ‘Mega Eid al-Adha Cultural and Infotainment Celebration for Expat Communities’ by the Public Relation Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) highlighted the keenness of the ministry to stay connected with the labour force and expatriate community in Qatar. 
The programme was attended by thousands of workers from Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nepalese and Pakistani communities at Asian Town and Asian Accommodation City (Labour City) in Doha Industrial Area on Eid al-Adha day.

While addressing the media during the event, MoI Public Relations Officer Lieutenant Hamad Ali Jahweel al-Marri said the ministry is keen to organise such events at various locations of Qatar. 
“The ministry, through these programmes, is looking to provide the expat communities with a safer environment at a convenient location to celebrate Eid al-Adha. Further, these programmes are aimed at enhancing and strengthening co-operation and communication between the MoI and expatriates in Qatar by giving them safety and security tips,” he said. 
On behalf of Public Relations Department director Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa al-Muftah, his colleague Captain Salih al-Marri extended Eid greetings to the audience as well as to the sponsors and community leaders. Al-Marri thanked them for their presence and appreciated their support for the event. 
During the show MoI officials from various departments led awareness sessions. Tips on road safety, fire safety, drugs prevention law, services of Human Rights Department to the Public, pedestrian safety and services rendered by the Community Policing Department, Search and Follow Up Department and Visa Support Services Department were given to the participants.
