Ten internal auditors from Qatar attended IIA's 2019 International Conference held recently at Anaheim, US recently.
In all, the conference was attended by nearly 2,700 participants from more than 100 countries.
IIA Qatar Board member Sundaresan Rajeswar who attended the conference said, “The conference is the premier event to hear powerful keynote speakers and presenters representing the global internal audit profession. Attendees had the opportunity to learn on today’s current trends — fraud, ethics, risk, technology, and other knowledge-sharing sessions. The overall experience enhanced professional development, and much more.”
In the annual business meeting, which followed the conference, a global board of directors for 2019-20 was elected with J Michael Joyce Jr, as global chairman. Joyce has more than 36 years of experience and is vice president, chief auditor & compliance officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.
