Commercial Bank to sponsor Qatar Masters for 14th year

Commercial Bank today signed an agreement with Qatar Golf Association to sponsor the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters for the 14th year in a row at a ceremony that was held at the Bank’s head office.
Joseph Abraham, Commercial Bank Group CEO, and Fahad Nasser al-Naimi, General Secretary of Qatar Golf Association, took part in a signing ceremony to formalise the agreement at Commercial Bank Plaza.
The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is an annual golf tournament that is part of the European Tour. Many of the world’s top golfers compete on Doha Golf Club’s challenging desert-style championship course, which is one of the longest par 72 courses on the tour.
This year’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will take place from 7 to 10 March.
Group CEO Abraham said: “The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is one of the country’s premier sporting events that attracts a global TV audience and international visitors to Qatar. We are delighted to once again sponsor this tournament in support of Qatar’s National Vision of being a world-class venue for sport, promoting healthy lifestyles, and bringing members of the Qatari community together.”
Al-Naimi added: “On behalf of the Qatar Golf Association, we are truly grateful for the contribution made by Commercial Bank throughout the years which has helped us position the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters as a significant world-class golf event.”
Commercial Bank’s sponsorship of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will enable the event to offer not only a world-class sporting tournament to visitors, but also a range of exciting hospitality and entertainment activities such as restaurants, music performances, and shopping areas.
The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters has over the years become part of Qatar’s social fabric, offering a wonderful day out with family and friends in the beautiful surroundings of Doha Golf Club.
