The Centre for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan) organised an awareness campaign at the Cultural Village Foundation Katara on Friday along with Qatar Rangers Bikers team.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the services Ehsan Centre provides for the elderly in the community, available for all the old people living in Qatar.
Hundreds of bikers gathered at the Ehsan headquarters at the D Ring Road and went in a parade carrying the logo of Ehsan Centre all the way to Katara where they stopped to distribute brochures and booklets explaining all about the services of Ehsan Centre.
The campaign at Katara was attended by officials from Ehsan Centre including Mubarak bin Abdulaziz al-Khalifa, CEO, Ehsan Centre and Khalid Abullah, head of Awareness Department among others.
The event drew the attention of many of the visitors of Katara who were informed of the great services the centre provides for the elderly to assist them in their lives and empower them to become effective in the society.
Ashraf Qaddoumi from Qatar Rangers Bikers team said that it was not the only awareness campaign in co-operation with Ehsan Centre, but there will be many others in different parts of the country.
“We are going next to Al Khor where there is a branch for the centre and to Al Shamal and Dukhan as well,” he added.
