Chairman of Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Hamad bin Nasser al-Missned yesterday launched the new identity of the authority.
The idea of identity, comes since  its inception until its announcement by Amiri Law No (6) of 2015, re-organising  the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority and its objectives and competencies.
The ACTA new identity features first its logo, which inspired its design and its philosophy from the naked eye as a symbol of control and monitoring, adopting maroon colour, which symbolises the State’s flag, thus embodying the ACTA main message and the meanings and objectives it aspires to.
The phrase “Towards a flourishing homeland” has also been taken as a verbal symbol of its commitment to achieving the highest indicators of integrity, transparency and combating corruption, in co-operation with all departments of the State.
The ACTA looks forward to working on spreading the new identity to all sectors of society, and to be reflected in the systems and rules of all institutions and departments in the State.
An awareness plan has been developed for all segments of the society, including concepts and values of integrity and transparency, the prevention of all forms of corruption and its manifestations, the promotion of religious awareness and the national responsibility to combat corruption.

US urged to
review Palestine fund cut decision

Qatar-based Education Above All Foundation (EAA) has urged the US to reconsider their recent announcement to reduce funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) .
“The UNRWA has long been an important partner for EAA in the provision of quality education for Palestinian children across the region,” asserted EAA’s head of advocacy Mubarak al-Thani recalled in a statement yesterday.
“Through our work, we have reached almost 70,000 primary-aged out of school children across Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, and we work with many more young people in Gaza, and the West Bank,” he explained.
“Despite the announcement from the US, our determination to continue working to reach every child and young person with access to quality education continues undiminished.
“Palestinian families forced to flee their homes, have already overcome many difficult circumstances, and offering children and young people stable and secure schooling helps to rebuild a sense of hope and opportunity.  We know that supporting the next generation into education is the single most effective means of reducing poverty, generating economic growth and creating peaceful and just societies.
