In this composite photograph 15 Perseid meteors are seen over Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado in the early morning hours yesterday. During the annual event meteors appear to radiate from the constellation Persus, giving the meteor shower its name. The green sky is airglow, a phenomenon of the upper atmosphere seen at night.
