HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Nuaimi has praised the efforts of the “Teach for Qatar” organisation in attracting teachers to work in public schools in the State.
This came during his visit to Aspire Academy’s “Summer Institute” where he met the fifth batch of “Teach for Qatar”, who will join the education system in public schools starting from the next academic year 2018-2019.
Dr al-Nuaimi praised the teachers’ passion for the profession and their willingness to contribute to building the future generations.
During the meeting, Dr al-Naimi stressed the importance of the role of the teacher in the educational system as the basis for its success and excellence.
During the visit, Dr al-Naimi also met the Chief Executive Officer of “Teach for Qatar” Nasser Yousuf al-Jaber, and a number of officials of the organisation.
He praised the organisation’s efforts and its leading role in attracting teachers and enrolling them in the public schools in Qatar, adding that the organisation complemented the role of the State in attracting qualified teachers to contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Summer Institute is a seven-week intensive training programme organised by “Teach for Qatar”, which aims to train teachers to carry out their public school assignments and strengthen their leadership skills, thereby enabling them to positively influence students in Qatar.
“Teach for Qatar” aims to introduce leaders with exceptional talent into the state school system by providing graduates and professionals, both citizens and residents, with the opportunity to inspire students through a two-year enrolment programme.
