Strong winds and poor visibility due to dust are expected in parts of the country today, the Met department has said.
The weather office has also issued a marine warning for strong winds and high seas today.
The wind speed (northwesterly) may go up to 28 knots in both inshore and offshore areas today, with the sea level rising to 9ft in some places.
The detailed forecast also says a hot daytime is expected today along with dusty conditions in some places, with visibility dropping to 2km or less at times.
Dusty conditions are likely in offshore areas, too.
The maximum temperature is likely to be 44C in Wakrah and Mesaieed today, followed by 42C in Al Khor and 41C in Doha. Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 44C in the Qatar University area, Abu Hamour and Mesaieed, and 42C in Doha.
