Al Sheehaniya Municipality’s Gardens Section has carried out a number of gardening works in public parks located within the municipality over the last month.
These include the maintenance of green areas and follow-up of the irrigation of trees planted there.
Besides, the Gardens Section has carried out necessary tasks for the pruning of trees, especially in the outer areas, the MME report states.
Al Rayyan Municipality’s General Control Department recently detected 55 abandoned vehicles and portacabins and put up notices on them, warning their owners to remove them or face legal action.
The department also issued six violation reports, which were resolved through reconciliation after paying the stipulated fines.
In addition, the department issued 12 warnings for different violations. The fines collected for such offences amounted to QR2,500, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) reported.
Meanwhile, the number of rental contracts registered at the Al Rayyan Municipality Rental Contract Registrations Office in June amounted to 1,146. Of these, 790 were residential contracts and 356 commercial, the MME added. The total sum collected as registration fees for this purpose amounted to QR1,356,817.
