HE the Advisory Council Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud and his accompanying delegation arrived yesterday in Cairo to participate in the in the 28th extraordinary session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, slated to start today.
During the meeting, lawmakers are set to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, especially the massacres carried out by the Israel against the Palestinians. They will also discuss the unilateral US decision recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving the US embassy to it. (QNA)
Japanese prince meets envoy
The crown prince of Japan, Naruhito, has met with the ambassador of Qatar to Japan, Yousuf bin Mohammed Bilal in Tokyo, on the occasion of the end of his tenure. Discussions during the meeting dealt with relations between the two countries and means of boosting them, in addition to issues of common interest. (QNA)
