Ashghal will implement a temporary diversion on Al Wakra Hospital Street, starting from Saturday (July 14) for one month.
This is being done in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The diversion includes closing the main lanes of Al Wakra Hospital Street, from the junction known as Al Meera Junction to the roundabout on Al Salam Street, and diverting traffic to the adjacent service roads for 15 days.
This is being done in addition to closing the main lanes and service roads of Al Wakra Hospital Street, from the roundabout on Al Salam Street to the roundabout known as Al Wakra Hospital Roundabout (on Al Wukair Road) and diverting traffic to nearby local roads as well as Al Salam Street (as shown on the map).
Lanes on the other direction of Al Wakra Hospital Street will remain open to traffic, and access to the nearby houses will be provided.
The diversion aims to enable improvement works on Al Wakra Hospital Street to enhance traffic movement.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and the authority is requesting all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
