Hamad al-Marri of Qatar won the double trap gold at the International Shooting Championship in Todi, Italy.
He shot 78 out of 80 to beat UAE’s Khalid al-Kaabi in the final.
Veteran Russian Vasily Mosin came third.
Qatar shooting team is holding a training camp in Todi, for the upcoming world championships in Changwon, South Korea and Asian Games. Qatar has also hired Italian coach Mirko Genji for the camp.
“It was a tough competition right from the qualifying round,” al-Marri said.
Qatar’s Masoud al-Adba came sixth.
