Qatar has strongly condemned the attack which targeted a rally of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, leaving one dead and several injured.

Qatar has also condemned the assassination attempt against Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa during his participation in an election rally in the southwestern city of Bulawayo, causing several injuries.

In separate statements on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and criminal acts regardless of motives. The statements expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, and to the Government and people of Ethiopia and wished a speedy recovery to the injured in the two countries.
