Mowasalat (Karwa), in partnership with Qatar Charity (QC), has distributed free Karwa Smartcards during Ramadan as part of it social responsibility.
The cards were distributed to workers, who are frequent users of public transport buses, at an Iftar gathering organised by QC.
Mowasalat Government Relations manager Khalid Kafoud formally handed over the free transport cards to QC's media and communication executive director Ali Ateeq al-Abdullah.
"Mowasalat (Karwa) is always keen to promote public transport usage among citizens and residents," according to a statement.
It also supports youth in schools and universities through the collaboration with Qatar Transport and Traffic Safety Centre of the Qatar University and Faculty of Engineering.
Mowasalat is collaborating with various ministries and governmental organisations through workshops and lectures to promote public awareness of road and traffic safety. The company is also participating in exhibitions, and distributing posters, flyers and manuals at public facilities.
