Ezdan Mall Company has launched an assortment of events throughout the course of Ramadan that targets families and children at Ezdan Mall Al Gharaffa and Al Wakrah to reinforce the youth’s connection and pride with their Qatari heritage and identity amid an atmosphere of entertainment
and merriment.
The events are scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during Ramadan from 9pm to 12 midnight, allowing families and their kids to partake in the activities. This conforms to Ezdan Mall Company’s strategy in maximising recreation and creating a family ambience, as well as attracting broader segments of the public to Ezdan malls and to benefit from the various unique services being offered.
Among the key events that will be held is the Majlis Ramadan ‘Ramadan Assembly’, which is held at the main gates of Ezdan Mall Al Gharaffa and Ezdan Mall Al Wakrah.
The event aims to attract children to a storytelling session led by Qatari grandmothers who will narrate tales on Qatari heritage and how Qataris lived before to enlighten the children about their history and ancestors.
The event also includes some entertainment and educational activities, such as the children’s Ramadan lantern making workshop, the use of simple household tools, and a Ramadan dangler creation workshop that will teach children how to prepare flags to decorate their homes and their private rooms.
In addition, a colour-painting workshop will be held to enable children to express themselves on paper using colours to translate their thoughts about the holy month of Ramadan.
Ezdan Mall runs an array of cultural, sports, and entrainment events throughout the year as part of the malls’ strategy to attract all segments of society seeking to enjoy fun and cultural activities while shopping.
Ezdan Mall also earmarks several Islamic and cultural activities, whether in co-operation with the state or independently, during Ramadan, which is the most important Islamic occasion celebrated by Qatari society, and a special occasion to rejoice and uplift the morale of guests visiting the mall.
