Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the three explosions that targeted a cricket stadium in Jalalabad city, eastern Afghanistan, resulting in deaths and a number of injuries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement yesterday, reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives and reasons. The statement considered the bombing of the stadium as an attack aimed at the values of love, tolerance and coexistence on which sport is based. The Ministry expressed the condolences of Qatar to the victims’ families and to the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured speedy recovery. 
AFP adds: Afghan officials said eight people were killed and dozens more wounded by multiple explosions at the cricket match late on Friday night.
