The Genesis G80 Sport has been recognised as the Best Mid-Size Premium Sport Sedan at the inaugural Qatar Car Award ceremony held in Doha recently.
Spearheaded by automotive experts from Arab Motors and Maqina, the Qatar Car Award is Qatar’s only recognised automotive award ceremony, offering a comprehensive review of the best models on the market, according to a press statement.
It recognises a number of segment-leading vehicles in several categories, including Best Luxury Coupe, Best Supercar, Best Compact SUV and Best Hybrid Car. Winners were chosen based on the quality of design, interiors and engines, as well as test-drive performance.
The award-winning Genesis G80, along with the rest of the Genesis luxury line-up of vehicles, is available at Skyline Automotive, the official distributor of Genesis in Qatar.

The design of the G80 Sport is inspired by an athlete waiting in the start position for the starter’s signal. Concise, copper-coloured elements connect the exterior and the interior design. It also incorporates a three-spoke leather steering wheel, genuine carbon fibre interior trim, leather sport seats and unique 19-inch wheels that are just some of the exclusive design and performance features.
Underneath its attractive exterior, the G80 Sport’s 3.3-litre direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine boasts of 365 horsepower, and is paired with a sport-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission. Supported by an upgraded suspension system, this robust new powertrain delivers superior driving dynamics, improved ride compliance and sport agility.
