HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani attended the meeting of the Advisory Council’s Internal and Foreign Affairs Committee yesterday.
The Prime Minister briefed the Committee on the government’s views on the draft law on permanent residence ID card and responded to the Committee’s queries concerning the draft law.
HE the Speaker of Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud attended the meeting. At the conclusion of the meeting, chaired by its Rapporteur Abdulla bin Fahad al-Marri, the Committee thanked HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for attending the meeting.
The Committee completed the study of the draft law and decided to submit its recommendations to the Advisory Council.

Minister bids farewell to envoy of Costa Rica
HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi met the outgoing ambassador of Costa Rica to Qatar Luis Alberto Guillen Downing yesterday. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs thanked the ambassador of Costa Rica for his efforts in promoting the bilateral relations.

Qatar-IGAD ties reviewed
HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi yesterday met the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) ambassador Mahboub Maalim, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting discussed means of promoting partnership opportunities between Qatar and IGAD.
