HE the head of Court of Cassation and chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council Judge Massoud Mohamed al-Ameri has met with Sudan’s Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court Haider Ahmed Dafalla in Khartoum.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly judicial, including the exchange of experiences and the enhancement of judicial co-operation as well as vocational training between the two sides.
Following the meeting, the two sides signed a twinning and co-operation agreement between the Supreme Court of Sudan and the Court of Cassation in Qatar, regarding the internal organisation of the two courts, in particular the establishment of departments and the definition of their competences, in addition to the holding of seminars and specialised workshops as well as the exchange of groups of judgments, decisions and periodicals of an administrative nature.
The agreement also stipulates that the two courts in the two countries shall establish a supervisory body to be chaired alternately, as well as the establishment of specialised working groups in each court to exchange views and advice on all subjects within their competence. (QNA)
