MES Indian School secured the overall runners-up position in the ICC-Ooredoo Mangalyaan Ambassador Rolling Trophy-2018, an interschool science and technology competition conducted by Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) at Birla Public School recently. 
Mangalyaan Tech Fest-2018, an initiative of ICC, functioning under the aegis of Embassy of India, on the theme ‘Conventional Energy’ was conducted with an objective of promoting environment and science awareness among the younger generation. A total of 36 students from MES participated and exhibited their talents in the competition that was conducted in three categories, models presentation, written test and quiz contest. MES won the first position in the models presentation category and second in the written test. A panel of judges analysed the models and interviewed the team of students before awarding the scores. Seven Indian schools in Qatar participated in the competition. Buvaneswari, Head of Department of Physics, and the members of her team co-ordinated the competition. Hameeda Kadar, Principal of MES, congratulated the winners.
