Ministry reduces school hours
The school management affairs department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued a circular to amend school hours and reduce them for students of all stages in public schools as of yesterday. According to the decision, students will attend school from 7am to 12:05pm. The department said this decision was made out of the concern to create the appropriate atmosphere for the students, in preparation for the upcoming exams period.

Qatar condemns Kandahar explosion
Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the explosion that took place near a Nato convoy in Kandahar in southern Afghanistan, resulted in children’s deaths and a number of injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives and reasons.
